License
SimplyKanji grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to the App Store and Google Play terms applicable to the app. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or commercially license the app or its content without our written permission.
Subscriptions & payments
- JLPT N5 and N4 are free forever and do not require a subscription.
- Premium unlocks N3, N2, and N1. Premium is billed by Apple or Google according to your store of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Refunds are issued by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.
Content & corrections
SimplyKanji's kanji data, readings, vocabulary, and example sentences are curated by us. We try to be accurate. If you find a mistake, email us — we fix errors in the next update. You may use what you learn in any way you like; you may not extract and redistribute the dataset.
Warranty & liability
SimplyKanji is provided "as is." We make no warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will guarantee any particular test outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription period in which a claim arises.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the app changes or when required by law or store policy. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and describe meaningful changes inside the app release notes.
